The wire lock pin, 3/8 x 2, as part of the crank handle kit, serves several purposes in the shurco roll tarp system. As part of the shur-flex crank handle hardware kit, it fastens the u-joint, #SL1701243 securely to the spline at the end of the roll tube. It is also part of the crank retainer hardware kit, #SL1107062, holding the handle in the j-hook while not in use. You can purchase it as part of both these units or individually too. The wire lock pin allows easy removal for the crank handle or the crank handle. The wire lock pin can also be used for many jobs in or around your home.
